 Change for the better.. .

' I think what I found most useful was Karen's ability to listen to my moans and groans about the struggle of daily, family life for long enough to feel heard, but then still manage to pull me back to focus on my self awareness and goals that were attainable, it's a true talent she has.'

The Benefits of Coaching

Coaching can benefit anyone who wants to move forward with their life and is willing to take some action to advance to where they want to go.  Athletes, musicians, entrepreneurs and others have embraced the coaching concept not through need but because they know that a supportive coach will help them get where they want to go more quickly and effectively.  The same applies to those who use the services of a personal life coach - it gets you where you want to go and gives you an edge you wouldn't have on your own.

What coaching can offer you....

  • Time and space to really think about what you want to do
Limbo is an uncomfortable place to linger….and having acknowledged the need for change, you may feel the urge to jump headlong toward some new status quo.  Quick fix solutions are rarely lasting solutions.  Coaching is about the exploration of your needs, motivations, desires, skills and thoughts to help you make real, lasting change.

  • Focus
Coaching is about providing opportunities to look at things from a fresh perspective to help you breakout of the 'analysis paralysis' or 'fuzzy overwhelm' and become crystal clear about what it is you really want; decisions that have balance with your mind, heart and gut instincts.

  • Motivation to achieve personal life goals
To achieve your goals you need to find your own inner drive that spurs you into taking action.  Coaching helps connect you to your sense of purpose, creating the motivation to feed and sustain your energy and determination.  It's about defining a compelling vision of your future in line with your personal values.

  • Support
The coaching relationship is a unique collaboration, designed exclusively to accelerate your growth and personal development.  Through dialogue, questioning and listening, you will define self generated solutions and strategies for change.  It is a supportive partnership which may at times be gently challenging but never judgemental. Your coach acts as catalyst, support, sounding board, brainstorming partner as well as chief cheerleader.  On your side.

  • Encourage your self discovery
Whatever makes you happy today is unlikely to be the same as when you were in your 20’s or 30’s.  Coaching encourages you to take a look at who you are and what you are doing - the real you, not who everyone else wants you to be.  The realignment of your beliefs and values ensures that the decisions and choices you make now are in harmony with what feels right inside, resulting in congruent change.

  • Overcome obstacles and free yourself from limiting beliefs
Some of our biggest obstacles are of our own making.  These are the fears, insecurities and self doubts that tell you ...‘It’s too late’...‘You’re too old’... ‘It’s too risky’... 'I’m not good enough’... 'I don’t deserve it’ and so on.  Coaching can help you recognise and confront your internal gremlins, free you from such undermining patterns and develop new strategies for thinking and acting.

  • Strategies to attain your goals by taking planned, purposeful actions
No amount of workshops, courses or self help books will work unless you act on what you learn. Positive intentions are not enough either - you have to take action.. and this is where coaching really makes a difference.... by transforming your insights into life changing decisions and life enhancing action.
